Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
Semeru Travel is run by PT DMS Group, a company registered in Indonesia. Our offices are in Surabaya and Bali.
2. Your booking
Your booking is confirmed when we receive your 10% deposit and send you a written confirmation. If the deposit is not paid by the date on your invoice, we may cancel the booking.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and include only what is listed under “What’s included” on each tour. The balance is paid on arrival, before the tour starts.
4. Cancellations

5. Changes to your trip
We may change the plan because of weather, volcano or park closures, or safety. When we do, we offer a similar activity or refund the part you missed.
6. Health and safety
Volcano hikes need good health. Please tell us about any medical condition before you book. Our guides may stop an activity if it is not safe. Children aged 10–11 can join treks on request, with a parent.
7. Tour hours
A tour day is up to 12 hours. Extra time is charged by the hour, and we agree the price with you before it starts.
8. Insurance
Travel insurance is not included. We strongly recommend it, especially for volcano hikes and boat trips.
9. Our responsibility
We are responsible for the services we arrange for you. We are not responsible for loss, injury, delay or extra costs caused by events outside our control, such as weather, natural disasters, volcanic activity, park closures, or the actions of airlines, ferries and other third parties. Please look after your own belongings. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under Indonesian law.
10. Complaints
Tell your guide or message us on WhatsApp during your trip so we can fix it. After your trip, email admin@semerutravel.id within 14 days.
11. Law
These terms follow the law of the Republic of Indonesia.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
Your name, contact details, travel dates, and passport details when a park, ferry or hotel needs them. Anything else you choose to tell us, such as food needs.
Why we use it
To plan and book your trip, and to contact you about it. We only send offers if you ask for them.
Who we share it with
Only the hotels, guides, drivers, boat operators and park offices that need it for your trip. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
5 years after your trip, then we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Email admin@semerutravel.id.
Cookies
We only use the cookies the site needs to work, for example for booking forms and logging in to your account. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
